Salik is the name given to the electronic toll road system in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which is based on RFID technology, automatically deducting a fee when a toll gate is passed through.
A fixed charge of AED 5.25 (including tax) is applicable for each Salik Passing.
8 Salik Gates are currently operational in Dubai:
- Al Garhoud Bridge
- Al Mamzar South
- Al Mamzar South
- Al Safa
- Al Barsha
- Al Maktoum
- Airport Tunnel Gate
- Jabel Ali
All vehicles are fitted with a “Salik tag” so that when passing through the Salik checkpoint, the vehicle is registered, and the toll is charged to the “Salik tag”.
At the end of the rental or during renewal, you will be informed of how many times you crossed the Salik points and will be charged accordingly.
Salik in Abu Dhabi is currently under implementation.
